 VISION BASED SAFETY SYSTEMS

A Majority of accidents on roads are due to the human factor, so there is a need to have an automatic system which recognizes the change in the safety parameters and buzz correspondingly. Despite advances in the technology over the past 100 years, few aspect of automotive technology has ever tried to accomplish what the human driver does with his or her own eyes with additional in-vehicle information is a complex endeavor that-unless technologies are carefully designed-may even compromise driver safety and efficiency. The Vision based system proposed will avoid the problems faced by the drivers. Determining the level of threat from vehicles in front, finding primarily angle or sideswipe impacts requires in-vehicle technology to help detect and warn drivers of vehicles in adjacent lanes, track the lane or road edge and suggest safe speeds for the road ahead avoiding road departure collisions when driver vehicle is likely to deviate from the lane of travel.
Due to the intersection of the roads, and sometimes unavailability of the view leads to collisions at intersection collision of the view, sensing the intersection point using the available database of the infrastructure, and cooperative communication with the highway can avoids the collision. Reduced visibility can be caused by lighting and weather conditions such as glare, dawn, dusk, dark, artificial light, rain, sleet, snow, and fog.
Analyses suggest that of incidents having reduced visibility as a cause, involve single-vehicle roadway departure crashes. Due to the higher centers of gravity and coupling points stability problems arises. Many times while driving people feel sleepy or get involved in other activities (talking on phone, looking for children's, and searching etc.) leading to accidents. At last, the information processed and presented to the driver must be accurate, inaccuracy can lead to a big problem.
