ARM CPUs have become an integral part of industrial robotics as lower power consumption becomes an increasingly critical design goal. Similarly, embedded systems are making use of these CPUs due to their speed & multi-tasking capability. For example, if a robot has to sense an obstacle & at the same time it has to transmit the result through some wireless device in a very short period of time, an ARM controller can give the desired performance. At HRS, robots with image-capturing capability are based on the ARM design to leverage the advantages inherent in this technology. |
